Susan Wadsworth transformed her studio from dull and dingy to bright and inspiring with a little help from a Garden Escape.
Why did you want to develop a Garden Escape?
Before I decided to develop my outdoor space, I was previously working out of a garden shed. I had to share my 'studio' with spades, buckets and a whole host of assorted gardening paraphernalia. My shed was dark and tiny and only allowed me to work on one project at a time, something that really didn't suit my creative work.
What were the key elements that made The Garden Escape stand out from other providers?
The Garden Escape really understand what a great studio needs. They were able to design my new space in a way that would benefit my work and my creative inspiration. Their natural materials blend well with my garden and it's reassuring to know that the build has had a much reduced effect on the environment.
What are the biggest benefits you've noticed from your Garden Escape?
My new Garden Escape has had an amazing impact on my work. The studio is filled with light and my creative process has really benefited because of the new space I have to work in. I am already moving forwards with my studio and am looking forwards to contributing to the Annual Dulwich Arts Festival in May, something I could never have entered with my old shed.
