Sacred Heart School wanted a dedicated training facility that was separate from the main school building to minimise disruption.

Why did you want to develop an outdoor learning space?

Sacred Heart became a national teaching school, following our outstanding Ofsted in September 2013, and we wanted a dedicated training facility that was separate from the main school building to minimise disruption.

What made The Learning Escape stand out from other providers?

We looked at a variety of companies, but the Learning Escape stood out because of their philosophy and ethos of eco-friendliness and sustainability, which are issues very close to our own hearts. We also liked the visual impact of the building, with a high degree of glazing and cedar wood cladding.

What are the biggest benefits you’ve noticed for the pupils and your school?

The training facility for Blue Sky Teaching School Alliance is stunning. It fits in perfectly with our conservation area, looking out onto our playing fields which are surrounded by mature trees. It provides a dynamic space for delegates to attend training courses, whilst allowing regular school life to continue undisturbed.

How did you find working with The Learning Escape overall?

We had an amazing experience with the Learning Escape, which we really loved. They were professional, adaptable and very personable and they kept to deadlines. 5 stars.
