Case Study

Eco Library at Moorlands Primary School in Huddersfield

Building type: Libraries
Project price: £57,000
Completion date: 2017

Q1 Why did you want to develop a separate learning space?

Our School Council wanted a library in the playground that they could access during lunchtimes. They also wanted a larger space as the previous library was very small.

Q2 What made The Learning Escape stand out from the other providers?

The designers listened to our requirements and produced a quote that was well presented with visuals which allowed the Governors to understand the final vision.

Q3 What are the biggest benefits you’ve noticed for the pupils and your school/setting/college?

The children love using the space and take great pride in looking after it, and they are delighted to be able to use the library independently at lunchtimes. Nearly all the books inside have been donated, so it has been a big community effort.

Q4 How did you find working with TG Escapes overall?

The communications with TG Escapes has been good and the project ran nearly to schedule despite a bad winter! We are very pleased with the overall building.
