Classroom at Dulwich Hamlet Junior School

Building type: Classrooms
Project price: £197,000
Completion date: 2013

Dulwich Hamlet Junior School were approached by the Local Authority who were struggling to accommodate a rising number of pupils in the area.

Why did you need a new building?

The local authority asked us to educate an additional 30 Year 3 students, which represents a substantial increase in our standard year group size of 90 pupils, and required an extra classroom to be built.

What made The Learning Escape stand out from other providers?

Initially, we were attracted by the high standard of the design and the innovative use of environmentally friendly materials and building methods. As we researched the project further, we were drawn to the degree of professionalism exhibited by those working for the business and pleasantly surprised by how affordable the building would be.

What are the biggest benefits you’ve noticed for the pupils and your school?

The additional space that we needed was built specifically to accommodate all of our unique needs and requirements. The resulting building provides a learning and teaching environment that is extremely pleasant.

How did you find working with The Learning Escape overall?

The whole experience was highly professional without losing the personal customer relationship that we sought. A good, receptive site manager was the key to making the project worthy of a 5 star rating.

“A highly professional service and great customer care provided by a receptive site manager.”
