The staff at Hevingham Primary School wanted to provide their pupils with an ‘Eco Lodge’ for group work, nurture and outdoor learning. Sarah Walker, the school secretary, tells us how their new outdoor classroom has inspired and motivated the children.
A new interactive learning space was in order at Lawnside Lower School in Bedfordshire, and a Learning Escape Eco-classroom was just the ticket.
Based on a small rural site in Wiltshire, Gomeldon Primary School wanted to make the most of the space they had available to create an outdoor classroom where they could teach smaller groups separately. They also wanted to benefit from their wildlife area and use it to teach pupils about Environmental Citizenship.
Hobletts Manor Infants’ & Nursery School needed to create a flexible, outdoor space that would give them room to work and play. Headteacher Mrs Wendy Hull tells us how they have benefited from their Learning Escape.
