Trinity Catholic College and Sixth Form is part of the ‘Nicholas Postgate Catholic Academy Trust’ alongside schools from Middlesbrough, Stockton and Redcar. Their unique 11-18 school is vibrant and forward-thinking, meeting the changing needs of the young people and their families in the modern age. They wanted to provide a canteen facility where the students could socialise.
Capital Space, the owners of Milton Keynes Business Park undertook research amongst their customers to find that they wanted somewhere to get out of the office and chill out. They have 100 businesses working in offices, studios and workshops on the site so they wanted to provide a space for people to get out for some private contemplation, to sit with their laptops or just have a conversation in a different setting. TG Escapes have created a bright space that is cosy indoors with access to an outside decked area. Woodside Cafe will be run by Sue Stanbridge and her team who have designed the interior with biophilic elements which help to bring the outdoors in to create a relaxing and peaceful space.
Willen Lake Park is one of the largest Splash ‘n’ Play centres in the UK. The building features natural materials complementing this outdoor facility and includes solar PV panels on the roof.
Rosendale are one of the largest allotment sites in London, with over 450 plots and a waiting list of 800. Their only communal building was a dilapidated old hut! After a lot of hard work, they were delighted to be awarded a substantial Lottery grant part of which they wanted to use to build a meeting centre not just for members but also for the wider community.
‘The Honest sausage’ kiosk opened in March 2010, situated on the start of the famous ‘Avenue of Trees’ leading up to Kensington Palace.
