Conferences Coming Up
Matt is busy getting ready to hit the road for another busy conference season. He will be starting off this Wednesday, 11th March at the Radisson Blue Hotel, Manchester Airport, in attendance at the School Business Manager and Academy Business Manager Conference. There will be two conference programmes to maximise agenda relevance and both will feature expert speakers covering a range of topical issues. Whichever programme you will be attending, come and say hello to Matt and take a look at some of our recent projects for both schools and academies.
Later this month, he will be heading off to London for the ASCL Annual Conference on 20th and 21st March, swiftly followed by the Osiris Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Conference on 24th March. The ASCL conference at the Hilton London Metropole will be offering two days of intensive training and debate, focusing upon the vital role that school leaders will have to play in creating a self-improving system whereby schools themselves lead the transformation of the nation’s education system. Keynote speakers will include both the Secretary and the Shadow Secretary of State for Education, and Her Majesty’s Chief Inspector for Schools.
The SEND Conference promises a more specialised agenda, designed to equip you and your school for the changes and challenges that lie ahead, with ever increasing demands being put upon the education system. Topics covered will include working with parents and the transition to Education Health Care Plans. The conference aims to equip you with practical strategies to train your staff and to effectively embed the demands of the Children and Families Act and finance funding reforms. Matt would be delighted to chat with you about how a specialised Learning Escape can provide a fantastic environment in which children with special needs can thrive and learn, and their families can be supported.
If you get a chance, pop along to the Learning Escape stand and say Hi!
