Case Study

SEN Room at Hollywood Primary School

Building type: SEND
Project price: £134,000
Completion date: 2014

1.       Why did you want to develop an outdoor learning space?

Hollywood Primary School has recently taken on responsibility for an Autistic Resource Base catering for the special needs of 12 children, with specialist staff and resources. As part of our commitment, we received funding for a dedicated classroom. Having come across the Learning Escape at the Head Teachers’ Conference, I was impressed with their understanding of the learning environment requirements for children with SEN.

2.       What made The Learning Escape stand out from other providers?

Apart from the great design of their classrooms, we were impressed with the time scale within which they could work: we needed our new building quickly.

3.       What are the biggest benefits you’ve noticed for the pupils and your school?

The Resource Base was very quickly up and ready for our new children and staff to move into.

4.       How did you find working with The Learning Escape overall?

It was great, with very good communication from start to finish. 5 stars

“The new room was up and running incredibly quickly.”
