Being thanked for the things we do, even if it is something we are being paid for, is one of the simplest yet greatest of life’s pleasures. Being appreciated is a powerful motivator in work and in life, and when the gratitude is genuine, a little goes a long way. But a lot goes even further! When we received all these fabulous thank you cards from the children of Penponds School, it truly lifted our spirits and made us smile.
The SSAT Achievement Show 2014 will be taking place next Thursday 26th June at Twickenham Stadium and The Learning Escape are excited by the prospect of getting the chance to meet those attending. We know that the SSAT is one of the most enlightening educational bodies and the hub of the biggest and most active network of heads and teachers in the UK.
Next Friday 20th June 2014 is Empty Classroom Day. Its aim is simple: for every teacher to take their classroom outside to learn, for one lesson. The project was created by a collection of organisations who met at the London Sustainable Schools Forum seeking to support learning outside.
The Learning Escape was developed with the environment and its protection as a fundamental and integral part of our mission. We have dramatically improved upon traditional methods of construction, using environmentally friendly materials and technologies to create learning spaces that are ecologically sound, sustainable and healthy.
The Inspiring Leadership Conference 2014 is due to take place between the 11th and 13th June at the International Convention Centre in Birmingham and we, at The Learning Escape, are delighted to be taking part. The CfBT, NAHT and ASCL have joined forces to organise a dynamic new leadership conference, designed to inspire leaders spanning the entire primary, secondary and special educational landscape.
