Case Study

Eco-Classroom at Crofton Hammond Infant School in Hampshire

Building type: Classrooms
Project price: ÂŁ19,000
Completion date: 2016

Why did you want to develop a separate learning space?
We had obtained funding from the MoD for a building to support our Service Family children as we had no extra space in our school building.  We needed an extra room but we also wanted to support parents and it was essential that this room was a little away from the main school site.

What made The Learning Escape stand out from the other providers?
I personally loved the design but also the eco features.  I found everyone I spoke to was really helpful and seemed determined to make our project work.  They were also happy to work within our very tight budget so I really felt we were getting value for money.

What are the biggest benefits you’ve noticed for the pupils and your school/setting/college?
They love the space!  It makes them feel very special when they work in it and our parents like the fact that they are not meeting in the school when they are talking about sensitive issues.

How did you find working with TG Escapes overall?
I was very impressed from start to finish.  The two men who came and installed it (Lee and Jack) were incredible.

This video produced by Forces TV shows how pupils and parents will benefit from their Community Cabin.
