Inspiring Leadership Conference 2016

by Robyn Fletcher | Jun 2, 2016 | Blog, Education

Now in its third year, Inspiring Leadership has already established itself as one of the key annual events for leaders in education to meet and share ideas and to get inspired to innovate, lead and develop their schools. Organised and supported by the EDC, ASCL and NAHT, the conference is to be held at the ICC in Birmingham between 15th and 17th June and promises a wealth of inspiration.

The primary aim of the three days of speeches, workshops and master classes is to inspire, empower and motivate head teachers and aspiring heads to form an innovative vision for their school’s future. It offers valuable thinking time away from the workplace and an opportunity to network with a host of other leaders in education, as well as the opportunity to peruse the exhibition floor which offers unrivalled access to the very latest technologies, products and services available to the education sector. The Learning Escape are delighted to be exhibiting again this year.

The conference promises a huge depth and breadth of knowledge from a carefully selected group of high profile speakers from the worlds of education, business and beyond. Speakers will include Lord William Hague, who will draw upon his rich experiences dealing with many global leaders and his deep knowledge of a range of contemporary issues and challenges, from technology and economic trends to population change and religious intolerance.

Speakers from the world of business will include inspirational leadership consultant, Humphrey Waters, and Sir Michael Barber, who is currently Chief Education Advisor for Pearsons after a wide and varied career in educational consultancy, both privately for McKinsey & Co and as a university professor and government advisor. From the education arena, you can look forward to contributions from former teachers, Andy Buck (founder of Leadership Matters, providing strategic advice and training to educational leaders) and Steve Mumby, currently the CEO of The Education Development Trust.

The line-up of individuals who will be running the workshops and masterclasses, is no less impressive and has been chosen to give a fresh perspective on effective leadership. Speakers have again been drawn from the world of education and other walks of life, and will include Professor Mel Ainscow, Baroness Sue Campbell and Professor Barry Hymer.

When you have a chance to take a breather from the plethora of thought provoking talks, come along and see Matt and the team from TG Escapes at the Learning Escape exhibition. He will be delighted to talk with you about what your plans are in the wake of all that inspiration, and how the right kind of learning environment can serve to further inspire and motivate your staff and students alike.
