Come and get inspired at the ASCL Conferences in June

by Robyn Fletcher | Jun 3, 2015 | Blog, Education

The Association of School and College Leaders are keeping Matt from The Learning Escape busy during the next week or so.

Next week he will be heading to Birmingham, to the International Convention Centre, for the ASCL Inspiring Leadership Conference, which will run from 10th to 12th June. This exciting event has been organised in partnership with the CfBT Education Trust and the NAHT, and promises to be packed with inspirational, stimulating and motivational speakers, masterclasses and workshops. Not to mention a wide selection of exhibitors  providing the opportunity for delegates to update themselves on the latest technologies, products and services available to assist them in improving the efficiency and outcome of their schools.

The overall aim of this event will be to give attendees a valuable opportunity to reflect, reconnect and reenergise as they approach the final straight of this academic year and begin to set their sights on the start of the next. Amongst the many esteemed speakers will be the internationally recognised authority on creativity and innovation in education and business, Sir Ken Robinson; Singapore’s leading educationalist Pak Tee Ng and senior adviser to Fortune 500 companies, Erica Ariel Fox. With so much going on, we hope you find the time to come and say hello to Matt and take a look at how a Learning Escape can help your school provide inspirational extra teaching space as it thrives and grows in the exciting and challenging times ahead.

This week Matt will be setting up his stall at the Birmingham Hilton on 4th June, for the Conference for Business Leaders. As the Conservatives have triumphed, the education policy stalwarts of best practice and collaboration will continue apace. With the anticipated emergence of more collaborative structures and the ever increasing pressure to achieve greater efficiencies and economies of scale, the roles and responsibilities of school leaders are becoming ever more diverse. With autonomy comes greater accountability and the need for a set of evolving skills and competencies, which many business leadership professionals already have. This one day conference provides an opportunity to hear the very latest information from national and regional speakers, participate in interactive workshops on a range of topics and to network with like-minded colleagues to discuss issues, share ideas and good practice.
