Whilst TG Escapes is better known for its classrooms and garden buildings, one of the distinguishing features of our architectural design template is its versatility and adaptability, allowing our buildings to be used for a myriad of purposes. Hence, we were delighted when we were approached by the trustees of Willen Lake Park, to create a multi-purpose building to complement their exciting new project, a Splash ’n’ Play splash centre.
The building includes toilet and changing facilities and a kiosk, fully equipped for the provision of a range of food and beverages, ensuring the comfort and enjoyment of both the splashers and their chaperones during their visit. The project for us was a great fit with our fundamental ethos of encouraging people to enjoy getting out to the great outdoors and to connect with nature.
Simply being outside is a great way to nurture mind, body and soul: exercising out in the fresh air is even better. The splash park is one of the largest in the UK, with a whole host of features to encourage children up to the age of 13 to get outside and exercising without even realising it. Highlights include Super Splash, a large drench bucket; a water tunnel; eleven jets, a sail boat, water cannons and a Sea Serpent for older kids, and a special toddler play area for the littlies which includes a bespoke water journey area called The Race to help stimulate their imagination and interactive social skills.
We wish Willen Lake Park and all its Splash ‘n’ Play visitors an immensely enjoyable and comfortable experience!
